(PITTSFIELD, MA) –December 8th , joined by Pittsfield Mayor Linda Tyer, the Beacon Cinema Management will officially unveil the renovations and upgrades with a ribbon cutting ceremony. In addition the Beacon will announce an entirely new Everyday Value price schedule effective December 15th. “The success of all the promotions we’ve put into action during the renovation period provided us with incredible insight on what moviegoers really want.” said owner Richard Stanley. “Moreover, we continue our commitment to downtown revitalization by creating a state of the art, comfortable and affordable family friendly venue. The new prices average $4.00 per person less than the competition.” The new pricing goes into effect just in time for the holiday season in tandem with all the great blockbuster movie releases.
The new price schedule is as follows:
- 2D & 3D Adult/Child/Senior Matinee $6.00
- 2D Adult Evenings $8.75
- 2D Child/Senior Evenings $6.00
- 3D Adult Evenings $11.75
- 3D Child/Senior Evenings $9.00
The Cinema will also streamline the customer ticket purchasing experience by providing touch screens at the ticket counter where they can choose their own seats. This allows for time to relax in the lobby, enjoy refreshments or just wait for friends rather than stand in line and rush for seats. The Beacon will also be adding sitting areas in the lobby for additional comfort. Furthermore, those wishing to purchase their seats in advance, can always do so either online or come to the Cinema.
Locally owned and committed to its original objective of downtown revitalization, the Beacon Cinema has completed the new renovations on all 6 theaters at a cost of over $550,000. These include the addition of state of the art luxury leather electric recliners, new carpeting providing a “screening room” feel and now the best cinema value in town.
Finally, the “selfie” contest is still in effect until December 31, 2017, with prizes ranging from a movie ticket 10 Pack to the Grand Prize of a weekend in Cancun, Mexico. Details are available at BigBeaconSeats.com
